Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TheEdgeAgent platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to TheEdgeAgent marketplace, including the website, API, CLI, and SDK.
  • “Developer” refers to a user who publishes agent tasks on the marketplace.
  • “Buyer” refers to a user who executes agent tasks through the marketplace.
  • “Agent Task” refers to a containerized AI agent published on the marketplace.
  • “Credits” refers to the platform currency used to pay for agent task executions.
  • “Job” refers to a single execution of an agent task.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Credits and Payments

The Service uses a credit-based billing system. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed when agent tasks are executed. Credit costs for each agent task are set by the developer and displayed before execution.

Credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Unused credits do not expire. The platform reserves the right to adjust credit pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Developer Obligations

Developers who publish agent tasks agree to:

  • Ensure their agents function as described in the marketplace listing
  • Not include malicious code, malware, or any code designed to harm users or systems
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect intellectual property rights of others
  • Maintain and support their published agents
  • Accurately describe agent capabilities and limitations

Developers earn 80% of the credit value for each execution of their agent tasks. The platform retains 20% as a service fee. Payout terms and methods will be communicated separately.

6. Buyer Rights

Buyers who execute agent tasks are entitled to:

  • Receive the output described in the agent task listing
  • Access job logs, artifacts, and results for completed executions
  • Leave reviews and ratings for agent tasks they have executed
  • Request support for failed or incorrect executions

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from other developers’ agents
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
  • Circumvent any security measures or access controls

8. Intellectual Property

Developers retain ownership of their agent task code and intellectual property. By publishing on the platform, developers grant TheEdgeAgent a license to host, run, and distribute their agents as necessary to operate the marketplace.

Buyers retain ownership of their input data and the output generated by agent tasks they execute.

TheEdgeAgent retains ownership of the platform, including the website, API, CLI, SDK, and all associated intellectual property.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described therein.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TheEdgeAgent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Agent tasks are created by third-party developers and TheEdgeAgent does not guarantee their accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TheEdgeAgent operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
